Lately, I’ve been feeling down about a variety of things. The stress of certain aspects of my life have brought up my depression and my head is being flooded with bad thoughts. Some of them are related to me not doing things I actually want or not being able to accomplish dreams. So I thought that maybe writing a list of the ones I’d like to fulfil really soon, as I am already 29 (I know…the horror!! 😛) because it might give me something to work for.
Hopefully, before the 4th of January 2019, I’d have been able to cross most of these out of my list!
Have you ever felt like you don´t fit in? Like, somehow, you are just different? Have you ever had that sensation inside your chest that tells you that something is missing? If you have, then you know that it means the world to people like us to find things, a place, a person, a book, etc…that changes us and it is like suddenly being at home, safe and we can show who we truly are.
That happened to me for the first time when I read Harry Potter.
I used to not read anything at all and then there I was, devouring a book about a young boy and finding a home among wizards and witches. From that day onwards, Harry Potter and his friends became a part of who I am; characters became people I grew up with, who I cried for and laughed with and for who I still raise my wand in commemoration of the battle of Hogwarts. These books mean the world to me and I owe them so, so much. So imagine how ecstatic I was when I found out that I was going to the Harry Potter Studio Tour in London, with my new fiancé, to have an entire day of magic!
Wanna know if we encountered some Death Eaters or if we entered the Forbidden Forest? Then grab your wand and keep reading!
Sometimes the planets align and everything seems to conspire to make things happen. A year ago, during this same month, I embarked myself on a trip that was going to be both an adventure and a life-changing experience. I was able to go to the UK for 6 months to spend time with who is now my lovely fiancé.
England. A place I have dreamt about since I was a kid. A country I had the chance to visit for only 4 days before and I had fallen in love with so hard. I was, as you can imagine, ecstatic.
Though I must confess that getting ready for a trip like this- so long and to a country that is really strict when it comes to visitors) was not easy. Therefore, I put together a set of tips, notes and, bits and pieces to help you in case you are going to this exciting country. So here we go!
